Creating the shortcuts in Dashboard
1. Download Plus, the dashboard widget that’ll allow you to add application shortcuts to the Dashboard. Unzip and open to install it
2. In Dashboard, click “Keep” on the Plus widget
3. Persecond 1 2 4 download free. Open Dashboard (F4), and click the (+) on the bottom left-hand side. Find the Plus widget and click it’s icon to open a new window
4. Find the application in Finder you want to add to the Dashboard, and click and drag it to the Plus window in Dashboard. (Hold the app down, press “F4”, and drag and drop it to Plus)

Activating Dashboard from the Trackpad
1. Download BetterTouchTool and open it. You may have to click it’s menu bar icon and select “Preferences”. In the left pane, click “Global”. If you’re on a Macbook with a multi-touch trackpad, or a desktop Mac with a Magic Trackpad, select “Trackpad / Magic Trackpad”
2. Press “Add New Gesture”. Under “Touchpad Gesture”, find a motion that is comfortable to use that will activate Dashboard. Personally, I used ‘Three Finger Swipe Down’. Next, under “Predefined Action” choose “Dashboard”
